Handcrafted Wooden Vessels Using invader species of trees (poplar, cedar, pine and jacaranda), these handcrafted wooden vessels are predominately made using the segmented turning method rather than the traditional “green wood” solid turning technique. Whilst visiting David’s studio, look around Brenda’s RUNNYMEDE IRIS NURSERY,and view over 200 different colour varieties for sale. For a wide range of framed prints, engravings and books. Whilst the emphasis is on the Impressionist and post Impressionist periods, the collection is eclectic.
More than just a gallery, there are displays of historical items which recently include Boer War memorabilia, a contemporary copy of Lt. Chard's original map of the battle of Rourke's Drift and Lord Byron's autograph.
